Sakhile is a young man who we have supported through school and are now supporting at University where he is studying Geology and Geography. Just a few days before he was due to leave on a field trip
he was told that every one attending the camp at Cobham Nature Reserve, Drakensburg had to take their own supplies including sleeping equipment, field attire and food. If he did not go he would fail the module. Of course Sakhile had none of the sleeping equipment or field attire and no money to fund it. He found what he wanted and priced it up and it totalled R1800. Vine got the money to him and he has sent us a picture of what he bought and some of the activities. As a youngster relying on a bursary and help from us the Universities do not make it easy for them but thank goodness we are able to help.
